Big news from the family. Along with our sister company, Tough Trucks, Gen-Y is now the Arena and Series Sponsor of the National Rodeo Co. circuit for the 2026 season.
The partnership kicked off last weekend in Maitland, and the trucks are now following the series around the country for the rest of the year.
Rodeo Runs on Towing
Here's something most people in the grandstand never think about: nothing at a rodeo happens without a trailer.
Every horse that comes out of the chute, every bull, every competitor's gear, the arena panels, the bar, the food vans. All of it rolls in behind something. Rodeo competitors are some of the hardest-working towers in the country, hauling horse floats and stock trailers hundreds of kilometres on a weekend, often on rough roads and often overnight, then turning around and doing it again the next week.
That's exactly the kind of towing Gen-Y was built for.

Why the Ride Matters When There's Something Alive in the Back
When you're towing a pallet of gear, a rough ride is annoying. When you're towing a horse, it's a different story.
Every bump the trailer takes, the animal inside takes too. Every jolt that travels through the coupling gets passed back into the truck and into you behind the wheel. Over a long haul to an event, that adds up to a stressed animal and a tired driver.
That's what our patented Torsion-Flex technology is designed to soak up. Instead of a rigid steel connection passing every shock straight through, Torsion-Flex cushions the link between truck and trailer, so the whole rig tows smoother, quieter and with more control.
- The BOSS Torsion Hitch is our go-to for bumper-pull floats and stock trailers. Rated from 4,000 to 7,000 kg, fully adjustable in rise or drop so your trailer sits level behind a lifted truck, and it takes pintle couplings too.
- The SPARTAN Gooseneck brings the same Torsion-Flex cushioning to gooseneck towing, which makes it a natural fit for the bigger horse floats and livestock trailers you'll see lined up behind the arena.
Both exceed Australian Standards, and both are built for the heavy end of towing, where a bigger truck and a bigger load make a smooth, controlled connection matter even more.
Same Trucks, Same Standard
The Tough Trucks AEV Prospector RAM and Silverado 2500 builds will be on site at the events this season. These are heavy-duty American trucks built to haul, and they're exactly the kind of tow vehicle Gen-Y hitches are made to work behind.

Rodeo grew out of ranch work, out of people who couldn't afford gear that let them down halfway to the job. That's the standard we hold our hitches to as well: built properly, rated honestly, and backed by a lifetime guarantee.
